ABA Therapy

 Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy is based on the science of learning and behavior. We are a group that practices from a trauma informed care perspective. We acknowledge the harm/trauma specific ABA principles/ interventions have caused and actively work to repair harms utilizing trauma informed practices.

ABA is evidenced- based therapy that focuses on:

• increasing language/communication skills 

• increasing attention

• increasing social skills 

• increasing adaptive behaviors

• increasing executive functioning skills 

• all while decreasing maladaptive behaviors

 

Evidenced- based therapy is one that has been scientifically proven to be effective in techniques and interventions.  There have been several studies that demonstrate intensive and long-term therapy using ABA improves the outcomes for children with Autism. Research indicates early, intensive intervention is key in increasing skill acquisition while decreasing maladaptive behaviors.

All of our staff in the ABA program has one of the following credentials:

 

• BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) 

• BCaBA (Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst) 

• RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) 

• BT (Behavior Technician) 

 

All treatment is supervised and monitored by a BCBA. We are in-network with several insurances. Please check our Insurance page for details.
